During my UX Design studies at CareerFoundry, I was tasked with designing a responsive web app. Recognizing the unique challenges of 2020, I chose to create a tool that could provide users with support, reassurance, and value during uncertain times. I’m driven by a commitment to design meaningful, impactful experiences, leveraging both strong UX principles and thoughtful product design.

The result was O-Live, a self-care app designed to help users cultivate a healthy mindset, build positive habits, and achieve their goals. With O-Live, I aimed to make self-care accessible and empowering, adding value to everyday life through a user-centered approach.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically impacted the mental and physical health of millions. With job losses, limited social interactions, and restricted options for recreation, many are facing heightened stress, anxiety, and feelings of isolation.

The home—once a place of comfort—has become both a workplace and a source of confinement, challenging people to find peace and balance in a restricted environment.

Amid these unprecedented conditions, users need a reliable way to nurture both mind and body without leaving their homes. They seek tools that promote mental well-being, encourage healthy routines, and support physical fitness, helping them regain control and foster resilience in daily life.

The coronavirus pandemic has driven a surge in downloads for mental wellness apps, particularly those focused on meditation, anxiety relief, and support for sleep deprivation.

Aptamil's new professional portal, Aptawelt, required a fresh, responsive design. With new products and resources expected to roll out, content needed to be scalable and structured to support future growth

While competition in this space is intense, a thorough analysis of competitors reveals key strengths and weaknesses. This insight allows us to refine O-Live’s approach, ensuring it stands out and addresses user needs effectively.

A comprehensive desk research helped me identify the most successful apps in the mental wellness space. I narrowed the focus to two standout apps and conducted a UX-focused study on their layout, navigation, usability, and brand/UI consistency.
